Our New Studio tour!

By Marley Poniedzielnik

Welcome to our new office space and home of The Good Party & Trend Decor! We can’t wait to show you around!

In mid-September we were given the keys to our brand new studio and it was immediately off to the races to make this industrial warehouse with a bright upstairs loft our own – we knew the possibilities were endless and now, after a few short months, the space is our colourful home away from home. Our go-to gal, Ashley Ferreira of Dragonflight Photography, popped by a couple of weeks ago to snap some photos for us, and you’ll find all the fun below!

Our studio space, which we are calling Warehouse twenty-seven seventy, is shared with the talented team behind Trend Decor. The owner of Trend Decor, Danielle Lewis, was also looking to make a change (and to make room for some awesome new rentals!) and after four years of teaming up on weddings and events, we knew a shared office space was going to be a good fit, not only for both companies, but also for our lovely staff teams who are so used to working together already!

When you come in, you are immediately greeted with a larger than life sign with everyone’s new favourite motto – confetti looks good on you – because who doesn’t love confetti! Soft globe lighting and a large harvest table, built by our friends at PDS Woodwork, invite you right in. We LOVE the Trend Decor pillow wall that always seems to have some fun new accessories in it!

This communal space is used for big team meetings, crafting, and can even be rented out for your own creative workshop needs! We love to welcome other creatives and already we have held cake tastings, floral workshops, and even a clothing swap organized by our friend Laura of Schur to Please Boutique Cakery!

The back half of our unit is all Trend Decor. Taking a peek behind the curtain you’ll find gorgeous chairs (we want to use the Bentwoods EVERYWHERE right now!), colourful goblets, and so many other treasures! Having the Trend Decor inventory under the same roof is perfect for us as we almost always have rentals from their team for our weddings and events. We are currently planning a Christmas movie night at the warehouse and you better believe Danielle and Bree are going to put together a pretty epic lounge for our teams to curl up on to binge watch Hallmark holiday movies!

Head on up the stairs, you’ll see many familiar faces along the way in our photo collection, created with frames from MixTiles. Our staircase features some of our favourite events and we love to reminisce as we climb up. Now, you are here for The Good Party!

This is where the magic happens – from client meetings to dozens of daily emails and plenty of snacks – this is where we gather, where we laugh, where we cry (usually while watching client’s wedding films), and. now, where we work on all the exciting things to come!

We’ve incorporated lots of fun and colourful touches in order to make the space as cozy and as welcoming as possible – we even have a dog bed for when pups want to come for a visit! A few of our favourite things in the space are the disco balls + macrame installation, our wall of photo booth fun (thank you, Four Frames!), the custom neon sign, the beautiful Thank You cards we have received, and our ever growing (but somehow also rapidly disappearing) collection of wine and bubbly!

We are so lucky to call this space our own, and we can’t wait to share it with our clients, friendors, and friends & family! We’d love you to pop by to say hi, just be sure to shoot us a text first as we aren’t always in the studio during the standard working hours – we are often out and about dreaming up another fun party (or, let’s be real, emailing from home in our pyjamas!).
