Who’s That Gal: Kody Dishlevoy

By Marley Poniedzielnik

Meet Kody! She is our super talented graphic designer. Are you obsessed with some of our couples’ amazing signage and invitations? Chances are Kody designed them herself. She’s super sweet, has an amazing eye for design (and colour!), and really knows how to bust a move on the dance floor (the worm, folks – she can do the worm).

Find out more about her below!

Any favourite designs of the season?
Definitely a tough one…going to have to be a tie! Either Dione and Alex’s emerald and burnt orange design or Lynda and Steve’s flashy New Year’s Eve designs with matte black and gold foil! Both were something different that you don’t get to design every day!

What’s your design inspiration?
California! Everything from the coast of Big Sur, to colourful Palm Springs, to minimalistic Joshua Tree vibes. If I could spend 10 months of the year there, I would!

What’s the funniest/weirdest thing you’ve ever made for The Good Party?
I would have to say probably a 4 foot slice of grapefruit.

Go to snacks:
Brownies

Favourite fictional couple:
Ross and Rachel

Favourite outside of work pastime:
Spinco!

Any secret hidden talents?
Parler en Français!

This or That:

Coffee or tea? Can I say both? Multiple times a day!
Cats or dogs? I have never had either, but I would say dogs if I had to choose lol
Books or movies? Movies! Although I am known for falling asleep during the first half…
Night in or night out? Mostly nights in, but love a good night out every once in awhile!!
Lake or ocean? In Canada, definitely Lake! But if we’re talking Mexico or Hawaii I would quickly switch my answer to ocean!

Kody’s talent for stationery design is incredible and she’s always willing to try something new and create something beautiful for our clients. Whatever we can dream up, she can make reality and it always turns out even better than we planned for! We’ve rounded up a few of our favourite designs from the past couple of wedding seasons to share!

It’s hard to believe that Kody’s been part of our team for more than three years already! She recently relocated to Vancouver for a wicked new job opportunity but we are thrilled to still have her taking the lead on the design of stationery and signage packages for many of our planning clients. They are lucky to have her, but we know we are the lucky ones! ❤️
