Meet Sara Stevenson – Lead Planner. Look at that clipboard, can you tell Sara is one of our most organized gals on the squad? She’s been with our team since the very beginning; starting as a bride-to-be looking for a coordination team turned event assistant, mission coordinator (aka office manager), and on-site coordinator! Sara now works as a lead planner taking on her own planning, design, and coordination clients and we couldn’t be more excited! We tracked her down and asked her to reply to a few questions so you can get to know her better! ?
Get to know Sara:
How long have you been a wedding planner?
I have been working with Emma since June 2017!

What is your must have for wedding days?
My must have for weddings days is a portable battery for my phone! It lets me stay connected to everyone whether I’m running around the Empress or golf-carting across an expansive private property!
Favourite wedding moment so far?
My favourite wedding moment to date was dancing around in a giant Pikachu costume as a surprise to the bride and groom!
Fun fact: Dancing is an understatement – Sara did a full blown Irish jig in COSTUME after being chased through an apple orchard (our own real life version of Pokeman GO! She goes above and beyond for our clients. Every. Single. Time.

What is #1 on your wedding planner wish list?
My planning dream is an industrial warehouse wedding with an intimate long table dinner. But I’d never turn down an elopement in Hawaii ?
As we mentioned before, Sara is a very talented Irish dancer. So, we asked, if you could do an Irish dance to any song, what would it be?
I hope you asked everyone this!!! I would say Sandstorm by Darude – epic and unexpected (just like a great wedding).
We will be BFFs if:
You LOVE your love story and can’t wait to let it shine through on your wedding day. Maybe your love story is travelling the world together, or eating tacos in bed – we’ll work together to find the unique details that bring your story to life. I’m always here to remind you that it’s your wedding and you can do it anyway you want!
We’ll get along great if you get excited about picking the must play songs for an epic dance party, test tasting cocktails from around the world and have trouble choosing just one flavour of cake. There’s no doubt that the wedding planning process can be stressful, but it’s also full of SO much joy and I love making sure my clients enjoy the process every step of the way.
Most of all, we’ll be BFFs if you’ll trust me to do whatever it takes to make your wedding day the best day of your life. Maybe it means I FaceTime with your grandma who couldn’t make it for the ceremony during your vows, or maybe it’s me sewing up your best man’s pants because he split them on the dance floor, or maybe I show up in a giant pikachu costume ? whatever adventures await us on your big day, I’m in.

After three huge wedding seasons, 50+ couples/clients, and lots and lots of late night laughter, Sara is a huge part of our team and how we’ve grown over the last three years – we truly couldn’t be doing this without her and, like us, her clients are so lucky to have her on their side!
